Primary Bone Xanthoma: A Case Report

چکیده

Xanthoma of bone is a rare disorder which occurs due to cholesterol deposits in the bone. Clinically patients usually present with pain or fracture affected Radiologically it presents as lytic lesion, often cortical expansion disruption. associated hyperlipidemia but cases non- xanthoma are also reported, termed primary xanthoma. Here we case 46-year-old male who presented and swelling right middle finger. X ray showed lesion proximal phalanx Laboratory tests normal lipid profile. Bone biopsy histological examination necessary for diagnosis differentiate from Rosai–Dorfman disease, Langerhans cell histiocytosis fibrous/post traumatic dysplasia, malignant fibrous histiocytoma, metastatic renal carcinoma. A was made based on histology immunohistochemistry. The treated surgically. report emphasises role this clinical entity.
